I need a list of designers of all kinds when I kick this off.
If you are a web designer, graphic designer, flash designer, print designer, photographer, or videographer and want to get in on this when it starts, drop a comment or shoot me an e-mail with your name and web site’s URL. I’ll contact you when I get closer to launching.

What is the World Design Association?
I don’t want to tell you all the details, but I’ll share what I can.
The WDA is a web site designed to promote good design and designers - as well as aid designers at improving.
Designers will be able to show off their stuff, get and give help, and find potential clients.

And finally…
I need some design help.
I’ll be the first to admit - I am not the best at graphic design. My strengths lie in the coding and layout of web design. Thus, I’d like some help with seven icons. They’ll be simple, for they’ll be used anywhere from 10×10px to 64×64px. I already have what I want in my head, so you won’t have to do that. But if you have some ideas, feel free to suggest them.
Your return shall be in publicity. As long as the web site is up, you’ll have a link there - specifically thanking you for this quick and easy work. I shall also give you (or your website/blog/etc) a free review here. Furthermore, you can have a 125×125px ad on the site for a month after it’s launch. (And don’t believe that won’t get you much traffic - I plan on coming in with a boom.)

  • Being a wanna-be designer, but having very few of the requisite skills, not even decent imagination, I’m wondering if this site will help people like me do what the naturals do more naturally, or if its a little more…professional?

    and, p.s., your first line has a typo in it.

     

  • Unfortunately, you will be somewhat limited in your participation… This web site’s main purpose is to show off good designers and their work. However, new and aspiring designers aren’t left out. There will be ways for you to get advice, see good work, and grow in your skills. How you’ll be able to do that, will come at a later date.

    I apologize for being vague, but like I said, I don’t want to give too much away at this point. I will give y’all more info probably within a month.

  • Your logo looks vaguely familiar…..
    MLB? Maybe that’s not what you meant. That’s just what I thought of when I saw it……

     

  • That’s kinda where it came from.
    But not just the MLB - but the NBA, NFL, WNBA, and all those.
    I took it, and modified it for this.
    *shrugs*
    I’ll probably end up with something new down the line… It’s just the best I could come up with right now.

    Tried your little trick to bring up an “about” page or something so I could get a sneak peek, but it didn’t work. :) You’re very sneaky. hehe

    I just have one more major kink to work out and it will be ready for content!

    Well, it’s not like I can get mad at you for trying to discover anything… since I did it to you…
    lol
    But nothing’s on the web… yet.
    But even then, I’ll have to keep it in a secret directory… and disable the 404 pages… ;-)

  • Yeah, I’ll have to get trickier next time rather than simply replace the index page with a static splash page. ;)
