Free Custom Wordpress Theme

Today is your lucky day!
I’m giving out a free custom wordpress layout design!
Why?
I’m bored and want to design a web site.
I currently need stuff in my portfolio, credibility in the design industry, and links.
I’m having difficulty with coming up with the WDA layout and need a break.
Thus, I’m offering a free custom Wordpress Layout design.
I figured it would be a good way to start getting my name out there in the design world.
However, I’m not just going to give it out. There are a few requirements.
Contest Requirements
1: Must be a Wordpress powered blog (duh)
2: The desired layout must be a minimalist, web 2.0, like design.
3: The blog must be something that I like.
4: No logo design can be involved.
5: ‘Designed by’ link must remain in the footer.
6: The blog already needs to be in existence.
How to Enter
1: Write a post on your blog linking to this post ’selling’ your blog to me.
-Why should I pick your blog?
-What do you want the design to look like? (If you’re not sure, that’s fine. I’ll be happy to help you come up with a design)
-Remember, I have to like your blog in order to pick it. So what’s so special about it?
2: Contact me with a link to your entry.
Why Should I Design Your Blog?
1: I treat all my designs as if they were my personal project, ensuring a high-quality product.
2: All my designs are light-weight valid XHTML and CSS resulting in cross-browser compatible, fast loading, web sites/blogs.
3: Because you pity me. ;-) I’m bored and I want to design a web site.
Contest Deadline is Midnight (Central Time) on December 25th

This a great idea to promote your website/skills! And how come you don’t have the stumbleupon bookmark? I like the new design thus far. Looks pretty good.

The others were already in the theme that I modified.
I wanted to add it, but I just hadn’t gotten around to it - which was stupid.
Because I just spent one minute with Google and found the link format and added it to my blog and had the link up one minute later.
lol
Thanks!
I like the new layout too.
Although I can’t get the ‘blog topics’ to align correctly. Something’s funky about the ul margin, but nothing’s funky about the ul’s margin.
Its really weird.
I’ll probably mess with it some more tonight…

maybe you should do a separate contest for a logo!

Eh…
I don’t think I’m gonna go that route at this point in my design career - at least not yet.
I’m not much of a graphic designer, so I’m gonna wait on that.

Hey Brian,
I like the new look! I’ll be exploring this site again and keep tabs on your design contest hehe.
A note on the , it works in IE 7. It certainly is weird that there isn’t anything wrong with the . Maybe you need to start with a reset.css to ensure the browser styles are initiated. Cause it seems like the only styling done on is with the tag.
Thats all I can think of right now, hope it works.
