New IconKit - PIXELATED
![]()
PIXELATED is an IconKit I have developed for my upcoming re-design.
Rather than keeping it to myself, I expanded it slightly to 21 total icons and have made it available for download in both dark and light versions.
What’s so special about PIXELATED?
First off, PIXELATED is extremely lightweight - the icon file sizes average 60 bytes!
All icons contain only two colors #222 and #EEE. (I’m considering releasing a developer’s package with PSDs so users can easily customize their colors)
Since the icon’s edges are hard, these transparent GIFs will work on any background.
The icons are free to use - no strings attached.
However, if you link to me, I would greatly appreciate it.
Furthermore, if you use the IconKit, let me know and I may even link to you!
Note: More icons may become available upon request.

That is pretty cool. Do you just randomly come up with stuff to make?

Nope.
I made the icons I would need for the new layout - and then added some of the standard icons.
I already have a few others that I want to experiment with and possible release.

I have just a random question. I gotta put together a small website (which won’t be published) for a final project in my design class and I want to know: Are bookmarks tacky, the ones where you link a word to another place on the same webpage?

Not really.
If the links fit with the content then you’re alright.
But if you’re just throwing up links for the sake of linkage, then that is tacky.

Looks great! but the download links gives me an “Error 404 - Not Found”… links seem to be broken!

That is very strange… I encountered that problem when I initially set it up… but I thought I fixed it…
I’ll look into it - though, unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be able to until tonight.
