New Developments - plainbeta, Life, and The WDA

Hey y’all.
You know about life?
The thing outside of our design world and computers?
Yeah, well, it’s kinda taking over.

I’m beginning the transition out of the home and onto my own. So I need to sort some things out before I move out.
Thus I have all but shut myself off from the computer until I get these issues taken care of.

Therefore I’m not blogging, playing internet games, accepting new design jobs… nothing.
(I will finish up my current design jobs though.)

Although, I shall be working on the World Design Association during this time.
It’s my final project for one of my classes, so I have to get it done.

I hope to launch it at the end of the school year.

I’ll get the ‘launch blog’ up soon.

Please stick around!
I’m not giving up on plainbeta, I’m just placing it on temporary hold.
I should be back in a month or two - I hope to see you then!

Back from Snowboarding

Hey y’all!
I’m back!

I had an absolute blast, but I’m glad to be back.

As promised, here’s my pictures.

Snowboarding ’till the 24th

I shall be back on the 24th.

I’m going snowboarding in Colorado with some friends.
I’ve been skiing before (and I’m not that bad…), but never snowboarding.
So this shall be interesting…

I’ll post some pictures (and possibly a video or two) when I get back.
And then I’ll (try) pick up the posting schedule.

And while I’m on that topic, I must apologize.
I have been very busy with work, two design jobs, school, and a friend recovering from a serious car accident.
But, I shall try my hardest to post at least two times a week.

Keep in mind that I’m offering free design help and free design reviews.

Well, I’m Back!

Greetings everyone.
I’m back.

Sorry about disappearing without any notice.
I’ve been busy, and my best friend was in a serious car accident and is in critical condition.

I practically forgot about this thing in the crazy stuff that’s been going on.

But, like I said - I’m back.

I’m gonna back off the every 2/3 days posting schedule I had and post every 3-5 days until things get settled down a lot more.

The New World Design Association - Coming Soon

Remember when I told y’all about the World Design Association - but didn’t tell y’all anything?

Well, I now have more information for you.

The World Design Association is coming soon! The tentative launch date is February 1st, 2008.

The WDA is something that the online design world has not seen the likes of before. It will feature an archive of designers, a job board, a high-quality showcase, forum, and blog.

So what does this have to do with you?
Lots!

New Web Site - BrianPurkiss.net

Sorry for the lack of posts - but I’ve been busy with my web site: BrianPurkiss.net.

It’s not quite done yet, but I’m almost there.

BrianPurkiss.net shall serve as my design showcase and launching platform for design clients. I have a few more ideas for it, but those shall have to come down the line.

As I said, BrianPurkiss.net isn’t quite done - but almost. I want to perfect my logo a little bit as well as add a few enhancements to the look (including a background and some different images).

But in the mean time, I’d like to hear what y’all think!
Feel free to rip it apart, I want to get all the imput I can get.
